Instability and shear should not be as substantial as it was yesterday in ON, but CAPE values over 1500 j/kg and 0-6 km bulk shear over 30 kt should support some multicells producing strong but sub-severe wind gusts and marginally large hail with freezing levels under 750 mb.

Storms will develop after 11 am and persist through midnight tonight. Areas in the SW flow of the St. Lawrence Valley are depicted as having low instability due to the drying of the boundary layer. However, some models have the SW flow subsiding in Montreal around 7 pm resulting in the re-destabilization of the troposphere.
