850 mb temperatures are expected to fall below -6 C (to around -10 C) during the day on Monday region-wide, which means that surface temperatures will not reach 10 C anywhere in the region; the 18Z NAM suggests a maximum of 2 C in Montreal on Monday. A widespread freeze is possible on Sunday and Monday nights.

Residual moisture from the LP currently located near Ottawa will accompany the Arctic air and result in widespread, light precipitation. Depending on surface temperatures, the precipitation may fall as snow, particularly if the temperature is below 5 C; considering the nearly dry-adiabatic lapse rates and low wet-bulbs, snowflakes should hold their own to the surface.
