Models have been inconsistent with the upcoming storm the last couple days but has settled down on the last couple runs. There is still some differences with the total amounts and where rain and mixing may occur, but below are my thoughts on the snow totals:This will start early tomorrow afternoon in Southern Ontario and start later in the evening in Eastern Ontario into Monday am. Sorry Ottawa, another slow commute is coming Monday. The shorelines of the Great Lakes around the GTA towards Hamilton, Niagara, and east to Prince Edward County may get some extended periods of rain in the height of the storm as the temperature will warm up. The regions further north like Ottawa will remain all snow.
Temperatures look seasonal Monday into Tuesday before a small Alberta clipper system brings light snow, but mostly flurries on Wednesday. Behind the clipper come Thursday temperatures will be the coldest of the season so far with lows near -20c and highs only near -10c to -12c. Another system looks to be headed to Ontario next weekend, but that one may have more mixing. More on that later.
We look to warm up near Christmas eve into Boxing Day with some models teasing between a rain or snow storm. More on that tomorrow in the White Christmas update.
