Two weak cold fronts moved through Monday and Tuesday which dropped temperatures a little and brought a little rain around the region. Temperatures will be back above normal Thursday and Friday before dropping down again on Saturday after a low pressure centers over Northern Ontario into Northern Quebec. Unfortunately this system may ruin firework plans from east of Toronto, Belleville area into Ottawa and Montreal.
The good news is that this will likely be scattered once again, so perhaps your area will get lucky. This will set things up for a pretty cloudy and cool Saturday for Ottawa and Montreal area and possibly scattered showers. Things will improve Sunday and temperatures approach normal to slightly above by Monday.
This scattered rain will not be enough to improve our drought. Eastern Ontario and Ottawa are nearing the second driest April to June on record. This article from TWN is a good write up on the situation. https://www.theweathernetwork.com/news/articles/drought-conditions-worsening-throughout-eastern-ontario/69534/
